About me
Eline Vandenheede, MSc, MBACP

A warm welcome to Meeting Minds Therapy. Here I will share some more information about myself. Until early 2020, I worked in music education and the performing arts industry. Over time, I came to realise that the emotional and relational aspects of the work through which people connect matter to me the most; through reflecting, shared understanding and thinking together. Alongside a longstanding interest in the workings of the mind and emotional life, this led me to the field of mental health.

I trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist at Birkbeck, University of London, where I completed both a Certificate in Higher Education and a Clinical Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Since completing my training, I have continued to develop my clinical experience through my work with students at the counselling service at King's College London as an Associate Student Counsellor, as well as through my role at Mind in Mid Herts, where I worked as a Senior Support Worker, facilitating support groups alongside supporting individuals within the community.

I have a particular interest in working with individuals who are navigating periods of change, transition, and/or uncertainty. I am greatly interested in how each person’s social and relational experiences influence their inner world, identity, and sense of self. I see therapy as a collaborative process of thinking together, where difficult or painful experiences can gradually become more understandable and manageable.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework for good practice. I believe that creating a non-judgmental and confidential space is essential for therapeutic work to take place. Therefore, I hold confidentiality and the therapeutic relationship with great care.
